Nick Cristiano, Philadelphia Inquirer (January 2002)
A former Philadelphian now based in New York, Scott McClatchy is a rocker who wears his heart and his influences on his sleeve. The new Redemption (LIB Recordings) is his best work yet, mixing nicely drawn, country-tinged story songs such as "The Legend" and "Goodnight Bobby" with ringing anthems like "I'll Follow You," "Redemption," and Scott Kempner's "Heaven." Kempner, the former Del-Lord and one of McClatchy's foremost role models, also sings with Willie Nile and Dion on a beautiful version of The Band's "The Weight."
